Nigeria History
Travel Tips for History of NigeriaKano, Northern Nigeria, Nigeria Kano is a large city in northern Nigeria that I spent a few days in. There is history to this place as it is the oldest city in West Africa dating back over a 1000 years. One of the things to check out is the dye pits which are apparantly the oldest in Africa. They are still used by men dying cloth with indigo and selling it. There are still remains of the old town walls, I don't know their exact age. And there are a couple high flat hills that give a great panoramic view of the city. Good tip?
