The people of Port Harcourt which are the Ikwerre tribe are hard working people who are heavily enshrined in their local customs, especially by their way of engaging in traditional dances and music;you will mostly find them performing the tradition in funerals and traditonal occations like marriages and wrestling festivals. they are very accomodating that's the reason for the peace and conduciveness of the environment within the city.

The best way to get around town is using motorcyclists called 'bikes'. You can call one by waving your palms facing downwards or by simplyb saying 'BIKE'. Typical fares start at N30. When you give your destination, the bike man could name a price from N70 - N100. If he says N70 take N20 off and ask for N50. If N100, take N30 off and settle for N70.
