If you really want to visit old adobe style architecture, Native American authentic suovineers, and Spanish/Mexican food, then Santa Fe is the place to go!

Tampa is a BEAUTIFUL city to visit any time of the year. There are a good number of things to do such as Busch Gardens and the beaches nearby, as well as Orlando about 1 hr up the Interstate 4.

When using Metro escalators, please stand on the right side and walk on the left side.

Be sure to visit 'Magazines Coffee' in downtown Kansas City, MO for the best espresso and over 100 magazine titles.

It's not just the museum here, there are a lot of sites in town to check out- like the giant trex and reptile world, there is a coal mine site and some settler histric sites as well. There is nowhere in town to eat though, so be prepared to hunt something down or pack a lunch.

Orlando has more to offer than just Walt Disney World!Try Gatorland for a different adventure and shopping at one of the outlets.

Be sure to visit Discovery Cove for a unique experience, swimming with Dolphins and Stingrays.

Eat out at the fabolous restaurant Bahama Breeze. Excellent food and good service.

Cape Sable Island. I great place to spend a day and explore the seaside. If your traveling through Nova Scotia and you are thinking of doing the drive from the Annapolis Valley through to Yarmouth and then to Shelburne and Liverpool, or vice versa, you should think about stopping by Cape Sable Island. This is a cute little fishing village where the people will invite you into their homes and ask you to stay for supper. Cape Sable Island is just that, an island connected to the mainland by a causeway. It takes only a short time to drive the entire island so you have ample opportunity to get out and take photos or explore. Your going to be surrounded by short stumpy coniferous trees and salt sea air. The landscape is unique and always holds your attention. If you want to meet some of the locals there are various little shops and stalls around where you can pick up folk art or native crafts. You may want to find someone you can understand and hold onto them for a translator as you drive further into the heart of town :) You might notice that the local English Accent is a little tricky to catch at first but in no time you'll notice yourself talk just like dem :)

Go to the fahionable Winter Garden area for good food, swanky shops and an all-round bohemian atmosphere you never though could exist in the Home of the Mouse!

Don't show anyone the way to Amarillo!

Many people stop here to go up Pike's Peak. At the risk of stating the obvious, it get's VERY cold at the top of the peak. Bring long pants and a sweater even if it is 90 down below. Also, while the cheap doughnuts up top look tempting, they have a tendency to expand in the stop on the descent. For the fit, try biking down the peak.

Its best not to go in peak season,as the queues can be huge for the theme park rides

If you're popping through while on the road (or here for a solid visit, or living here), be sure to stop off at the Frontier Diner - On I-25 take the Central Ave. Exit heading east (towards the mountains). From I-40 take the University Ave. Exit, turn left under the freeway, follow University until you hit Central and take a left onto central. The Frontier has a yellow roof (circa 1970) and is on the righthand side of the road directly across from the University of New Mexico Book Store. You'll find the best sweet rolls ever, and some hearty mexican food. I recommend the chicken enchiladas, and be sure to get their fresh tortillas. The Frontier generally inexpensive and is open 24 hours a day, which makes it fantastic for the Balloon Fiesta.

Christmas Eve in Albuquerque can be pretty spectacular - if you know where to look. Take a Luminaria bus tour through my home neighborhoods of Hunning Castle and Old Town - there are plenty on Christmas Eve. If you don't know a Luminaria (or Farolito, if you're from Santa Fe) is, here's a description that in no way does it justice - brown paper lunchbag filled with sand and a candle that is placed along a sidewalk or road, lit right at dusk on Christmas Eve. One alone isn't that impressive, but picture hundreds of thousands of them lining the roads around Old Town and you can start to comprehend how awe-inspiring they can be. You can take the driving rout that a veritable parade of cars and trucks and Harley motorcycles decked out in Christmas lights drive down, or you can get out, walk around and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Either way, it's an event not to be missed!

A nice city with not a whole lot to do. I like Pittsburgh better :-) Go Steelers!

I suggest going in the fall if you are going because the colours of the leaves on the trees is simply beautiful.

If you are going to theme parks etc, go to Ponderosa for your breakfast! Its a buffet and it's all you can eat, so fill up and you won't have to eat again til dinner time! Helps avoid ripoff food in the parks...

One of the most romantic places in the world I think! The Internation Marketplace on the strip is a must-see while on O'ahu.

The airport in Kansas City is tricky because each gate is a secured area with its own security checkpoint. Be sure you have the right gate before getting in the security line. In addition go to the bathroom before going to your gate or you will have to go through security twice.

For a truly shitty experience go to the Inland Center Mall or even worse make your way over to the Carousel Mall. Any real risk taker knows that to really enjoy a city, one must delve themselves into the culture. While making your way to the Carousel Mall, take a stroll on South "E" Street. The cracked streets and beggars are sure to make for a plethora of inspiring vacation photos. Perhaps you'll find an open restaurant or two, but I doubt it. Who needs it anyway? This is the wild west. So snort some meth, take a shot and head down to South "E" Street for a vacation I can promise you'll remember forever.

for aussis travellers heading to usa. first thing to remember is their scale of rating for hotels is very different to aus hotels.. a 4 star hotel their is about a 1 here. as in we stayed at a so called 4 star resort right near disneyland.. and were supposed to have a continental breakfast.. it ended up being 1 coffee and 1 iced donut that had to be colelcted from front office. they dont have bar fridges in most hotels and u have to get ice. some hotels are not very helpful. so get plenty of advice and choose wisely. for attractions dont miss Knotts Berry Farm its a great day out adn to be honest preferred it to over commercialised Disneyland. women do NOT travel alone. and dont flash your money around alot. i was told that if i need to get money out of my wallet to go into toilets and do it. but thats abit over the top. Check out some of the larger malls such as i think its called South Mall in Los Angelos. its huge and lots of good bargins. If u have a multi day pass to Disneyland try and do all the other sightseeing first and leave Disneyland to last.. that way if you want to go back and pick up things you can. WE had no coffee or tea even toast making facilities in room.. couldnt even keep milk in with us as nothing to store it in as no bar fridge.. so very ahrd to make simple things to eat.. eating out all the time is costly.. try not eat before or after going to theme parks as the food there is over the top in prices.. for something different try Medievil times it was a fantastic night of knights in shinging armour.. jousting and falconry.

I lived here for a month and there is not much to do for nightlife except for grab some " Lucky's" beer and set up a bonfire on the beach. However, Whale watching was awsome! Try surfing...its crazy and Check out the Clayoquot Sound Hot Springs. If you like Sushi, Tough City Sushi is the freshest you'll ever have in your life! Delicious . And i recomend ordering and Eggs Benny from Schooners restaurant..the best one i have ever had. If you have a lot of cash then spend the night at the Wickaninnish Inn...gorgeous view and just an awsome Hotel

Little part of Fayetteville last time I was through there did not look like I should have been in that part of town.

I've been to PV on Spring Break for the past 5 years and it's worth going back every time!What the city lacks in beaches, it makes up for in nightlife.The Collage foam night is epic and shouldn't be missed and some of the bars on the main strip are lots of fun as well. It's also probably one of the safer Spring Break destinations in Mexico. I've always been with friends, and we've never felt threatened or unsafe.

You'll never know what deals you'll find at the Lost Luggage Store unless you stop in!

Check out the Rustic Cottages. The staff is very helpful and are a wealth of information. Try to visit the Sand Beach State Park on the east side of the lake. Great area with big rocks, blue water, and a cool walkway. For a great meal, try Lanza's Italian restaurant - but get there by 5:30 to avoid the crowd. Have breakfast in the Breakfast Room at the cabins where you will want the waffles. - YUM! It was a great experience in general! If you are into skiing, check out the Northstar ski area.

Airliner Pizza; George's for Beer and Burgers

there is a michoacana right next to the basketball-field - the aguas are fine, as usual, but try the licuado de fresa - it is muy sabroso!

Great city, many fun attraction, good shopping, nice friendly people. Attractions: boeing factory, space needle, eastern washington wineries. best western underneath the space needle good / central hotel. pike market, indian art.it can be rainy

Cabot Cheese! Visit the factory... it is a little bit out of the way... but the drive is beautiful. They let you sample just about as much as you want of any of the cheeses they make. There is a gift shop where you can purchase cheese (obviously) and lots of other locally produced things.Try the Kickin' Cow Cola... great locally produced soda pop from the Vermont Sweetwater company.

Don't stay at the Coeur d'Alene Resort - take a tent and stay in the mountains (stop before you cross the peak and hit the clearcutting on the other side)

try to drink plenty of water while in vail. the high altitude takes a lot out of you. try to take it easy the first day or so you are there, to get aclimated to the altitude.

Beerbistro is a must visit for anyone who loves beer with food. Too much time and effort has been spent on pairing wine with food, when what one really wants is a beer. At Beer Bistro, they use their pallets to choose which beers got best with each meal. An AMAZING selection of beers (and their Frites are great, too)! Their lunch menu is reasonably priced for those on a budget.

The Bata Shoe Museum is well worth the time and ticket price. Even for those who are not shoe lovers will enjoy this walk through history. This stop is filled with histrical shoe facts, preservation information, artwork (in shoe form), and of course shoes!

New Mexico is known for its chile. Every restaurant you go to will ask you if you want red or green.

The loveliest way to discover Toronto is to rent a bike and take a tour along the riverside, through the villa lanes and the beautiful nature/parks around the city (especially in fall)

Spend a lot of time there

The Hudson Hotel is well designed hotel. Right on Central Park. Fantastic bar and the rooms although small are very comfortable.

Good way to get here is the Chinatown buses or Vammosebus.com or Boltbus.com. They're very cheap.

Eat at Saltwater Cowboys.

Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center is a great place to learn about nature and the exploration of the west.If you enjoy nature, then you'll love Montana. Constant beauty surrounds you from rolling fields, the fluttering of the cotton wood trees to the majestic mountains.

Bathing suit, the beach is 10 mins away and always ready for you.

Must visit Virginia Tech Campus ...it is beautiful!

I'm a truck driver and I can definitely tell you to steer clear of the Pilot's rest rooms. They're usually pretty bad. The TA seems to have a lot more truck parking available at any given moment.

Home Sweet Home!!!  I love the warf and the weather.  If you like food, this is the place to go.  All kinds and always good.  

If you love to hike, one of my favorite places in the world is up Adam's Canyon. It is a hiking trail off Hwy 89. My husband proposed to me on top of the hill after viewing the two waterfalls on this beautiful trail.

We went in May and it was BEAUTIFUL! My only regret is that Crater Lake was still surrounded by snow and there was only one path in and out and all the hiking trails were closed. We were told to come back in the fall before it got too cold.

Fun place to go. Love the beaches. Use the public transportation to get around or walk to avoid scary local drivers ;) The spring pirate fest is a lot of fun too. Keep your possessions close and don't leave anything visible in your car or you will most likely experience a car break in.

Mountain View is like the cheap Mexican food capital of...well Mountain View at least. La Bamba, Tapatios, countless other GREAT local places makes this a must stop place if you're craving a good old taco or burrito.

One of my favourite places on Earth, stay at The Nautical Inn and hire a Kayak or two then head into toen and go to the microbrewery and get smashed, yeah.

Great college town!  About 25 minutes away from Kansas City.  Check out the local music venues for shows.  Usually the best ones come around Spring.

For a cool day hike, head out of Bend to the little town of Terrebonne and Smith Rock State Park. There's some striking scenery, some of the best rock climbing in the world (for those into that), and it's just a great place to hike around....

Orlando is nice in a family special type of way. Since the main draw is Disney, there really isn't room for much else.

Avoid the TI

this is a nice town and laid back (esp. for a girl from NJ!) many restaurants and bars, if you are visiting Dallas, fort worth is a must see. Drive to the center of town get out of your car and walk around, there are plenty of great texan restaurants for ribs and BBQ or south western/mexican. check out the old opera house too and at night it is lit up, beautiful.

okay so I decided while visiting cancun area that i wanted to have a taste of the real mexico, and took a bus from ther about 4 hours, luckily bus had a toilet and my Spanish is good enough. So anyway, Merida is a nice local town, I didn't see another tourist while visiting. Really great mexican food there, there are many nice musuems, spanish sytle homes. I'd recommend it, but not strongly, only unless you are coming near to Merida to see ruins at Coba

you really need to see the french quarter. its sooo cute. the whole town really feels like you are back in mainland europe.mush better than the to often mentioned montreal.this is much more inrtimate.

If you are in Florida, go to Everglades National Park, NASA Johnson Space Center, Orlando SeaWorld, Miami Seaquarium, and lots of theme parks in it.

the people are very friendly....join in!! talk to the people sitting next to you and remember that they locals are doing their best to make your stay memorable for all the right reasons so if you have a problem or a query...dont be afraid to ask your question. A must see is the Grand Ole Oprey. each day is different and well worth a visit :-)

Great City! Trip to Ellis Island is a must if you're interested in history. You can no longer go up the Statue of Liberty so you're best give it a skip! For a bit of fun take the Shark boat out around the harbour. It's a speed boat and you're guaranteed to get wet , if not soaked!! Great view of Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge and NYC skyline.

stay on the canadian side. its very commercial anyway. but much cleaner. and the view is definatly better as well.still it feels a bit like little Vegas with all the hotels and casinos.

Visit O'Connells Irish bar for great food and drink at extremly reasonable prices!

A burger in Madison Square Park is a must. It is VERY popular so expect queues!!

Make sure that you go to Disneyland and the California Theme park it's awesome!!!!!!!!

in the middle of nowhere of ontario. there isn't much there. but at least they have a cinema. if you compare it to the other villages around the area, then you will be happy to be there.

visit the ghost town. its beautiful, but so creppy.there are just a few visitors there, cause its hard to find. but its definetely worth a visit.

The 2-day pass includes open top tour bus Circle Line, entry into loads of sights for $125 is worth it. Go to Ellis Island if you have ever had family go through it - very sad but interesting

Nothing much to do but great beaches not too far away

The Sheraton Sand Quay resort was brilliant: private beach pool, only hotel on that has it's own beach all the rest are owned individually many of them by Hollywood stars

Perfect place to stay if you are into discovering orlando's theme parks and tourists spots.! No further than 20minutes drive from all the best attractions.! Cover up do because it get's hot in the summer time :)

Sea World is a must visit place.!!!

i got stuck in a lift in what was known as The World Trader Centre in 1996, scary, well it was only for like 5 mins, been to every where in New York city that i can think of!

irish bars on union street especially hennesseys cant go wrong and head to brighton for some great pubs also

I was very disappointed with Galveston, in general; however, take a look at the older parts of the city not destroyed by the hurricane you can find some really nice architecture.

Calgary tower, Saddle Dome and C.O.P are great attractions.

Great for a short day trip if you are in the area.

Great beaches, water has no reef. Great night life.

The Twin and Plainsman arenas, and One Eyed Jacks are great.

Nice lake, close to Nevada if you enjoy casinos.

Sea world and the San Deigo zoo live up to the hype.

Best Island in Hawaii. Visit Pearl Harbour.

The Banff Springs Hotel is worth paying the money to stay at.

This is a great place to catch a bus to Logan Airport. Save the drive into Boston!

Don't miss the coffee and pastries at Ommonia Cafe on Broadway and 33rd St.

On the border of Ridgefield and Redding, Georgetown can be simply described as not much more than a train stop and the long standing grocery store, Ancona's.

Not much going on here, but well worth a trip and a long drive around this quaint and subdued Hawaiian island. If anything, be sure to go to Volcanoes National Park for some great hiking and amazing sights of lava flows and semi-dormant volcanoes.

There is a little diner that serves gyros somewhere in this town. I ate there when I worked at the Nokia plant in North Ft. Worth.

The only reason you should go here is to visit Riverside Amusement Park.

Take the quick trip out of Rapid City into the Black Hills. They're very pretty and you can even stop at Mount Rushmore. :)

Herman is best known for it's shortage of eligable single woman about ten years ago and its abundance of available men. A movie was made about it called Herman USA. It is my fathers hometown so I spent many a summer there as a child.

Gotta go to the Derby!

Niagra Falls is a beautiful places but make sure you sear your walking shoes because there is a lot to see. It may require a small walk.

Can be a dangerous area - be wary if you are backpacking and aim to stay outside of Miami

Go to Pea Soup Andersons!

Boulder has a wonderful open air shopping mall. It has everything you'd ever want in it. It's not too far from the big mall in Longmont. Boulder also hosts Celestial Seasonings - the tea maker - I've never been on a tour, but always wanted to. CU is also in Boulder.

Hurt all over from sking (being a weekend warrior) on the slopes in Lake Tahoe? The 30 minute trip into Truckee is sure to please everyone- from the shoppers, to the drinkers, to the people watchers- a great day trip if you need a break from the slopes.

The french quarter is a must

Palenque was also one of our favorite places! It was so hot when we went - but we brought umbrellas with us and they were so usefull! Don't forget water!

Great beach town. Museums to see. Great for family or romantic getaways.

Don't forget to eat at Defebo's for a great italian meal. They make the best homemade cheese ravioli with a huge meatball.

Make sure to look at the Falls from the United States and from Canada. The Canada side has the best view, but parking is more difficult.

There is great shopping here. Most vendors are ready to negotiate.

If your staying in San Francisco its definitely worth a visit. We hired bicycles and rode over the Golden Gate bridge to Sausalito, which is absolutely beautiful.

Amazing Place! Great Hiking trails and almost unbearably beautiful!

Hilto Town USED to be sooo cute. With little mom and pop shops. Now it's overrun by big corporations and lots of haoles. Its unfortunate because what used to be a wonderfully, small community is now going to become a tourist trap!

Atlanta was neat. Went there once to a baseball game. TOO MANY PEOPLE!!! Crowded city.

The biggest town in the middle of nowhere...kind of like Kempsey or Grafton...Kamloops just looks better.

Do the maid in the mist trip. go down in tunnel under fall. walk bridge to buffallo state new york, entering nomansland on the way. go to casino. ask for room overlooking falls to view by night falls lit up and changing colour. town very cheesy with rides and slot machines, but some good eateries.

This is the home of Six Flags Magic Mountain......a rollercoaster lovers paradise......say no more!!!!!

Mitchell really only needs two words to describe it: Corn Palace. There's not much else to do in town, but it's a slice of Midwestern Americana, if you're into that. The exterior of the Corn Palace itself is adorned with designs made from--you guessed it--corn cobs. It scores very high on the kitsch and quirk meters, and if you're doing an all-American road trip, a stop here will surely yield some giggles and fun memories. Personally, I was lucky enough to encounter a gaggle of blue nuns taking a tour--not something you see every day.

what can i say. the people here are different. they are good people just be careful. if your want to eat sonic be prepared for a good crowd of young kids. sonic is the hang out spot on "the strip".

Minneapolis is really cold during the winter! Be sure to wear warm socks, ice-worthy shoes, a down-filled coat, a warm hat, toasty gloves, no lipstick, and don't open your mouth while you're outside or your tongue will freeze!! Oh yeah, wear some heavy duty chapstick. Don't wear lipstick or your scarf will stick to your lips! The people there are great, though, and the food is awesome if you know some amish friends. The houses are beautiful, especially when people have their Christmas lights up.

If you go in the winter...dress warm...it's freezing!!!

I lived in Loas Angeles, California for ages and loved it...im def going back one day! The segregation is bad though, you'll see what i mean!

Pass through without stopping. This town is even worse than a lot of the surrounding towns in southern IL.

Beautful Beach, get there early for parking on the weekends or go during the week!
