If you want to fall in love with Nature you have to travel the Pacific Islands. Saipan has a great airport, fantastic scenery and crystal clear waters for diving. Lots of wreckage left from WWII to consider while you tour the island. Don't miss the blue hole on the far side of the island from the airfield.

In Garapan it can be a little dangerous to walk the city streets at night. We got chased by a drunk guy who was aggressively asking for money and eyeing our purses.

Saipan Island, Northern Mariana Islands
Saipan is a beautiful island that has a lot to offer. We stayed at the Halfadai hotel and it was not bad. You can book nice day trips but they are usually in Japanese. Bird island and the Last Command Post were highlights for me.

This was a major battle in the "Island Hopping Campaign" during WW2.It is a neat battle field to see,but is not easy to get there.I was in The Marines at the time and went there for a memorial service.
