Travel Tips for Transportation in West Norway

Stavanger, West Norway, Norway
When arriving at Stavanger airport, get your money from an ATM in the airport.. No money exchange counter that I could find, so this is your only option if don't already have kroner.
Also, take the green bus (#9 route) into Stavanger town if you want to save money (29 kroner or roughly $6). The airport shuttle (Flybussen) runs more frequently and will get you there quicker (20 minutes as opposed to 40 minutes) but it will cost you about three times as much (85 kroner or $15). On Sundays, the #9 bus doesn't run, so the airport shuttle is your only option.

Bergen, West Norway, Norway
This is by far the most beautifull city of Norway.
Its old history and its unique city layout has made this city my favourite among my homeland citys (I am Norwegian).

If you want to know more about the city of Bergen, and maybe want to travel there - please check out this link to the homepage of the city (its in english).

Flam, West Norway, Norway
The Flåmsbana (Flåm railway) runs from Myrdal (866 m) down to Flåm (sea level, down by the fjord) through lots of turns and tunnels, and is third steepest standard railway in the world. Very scenic. Boat connections in Flåm, connections to the Norwegian rail network in Myrdal.

Bergen, West Norway, Norway
Bergen has a great fish market in the city center. The salespeople speak many languages and will let you taste all kinds of fish. Plus, it almost always rains in Bergen and you can get on a ferry going way up north to see the whales bathing.
