Check in at Shangri la or Peninsula hotel in Makati, Manila, the financial district of Manila.
In walking distance you find Glorietta shopping mall, Landmark shopping and the upscale Greenbelt.
When tired from the it all, take a seat in the beautiful Greenbelt Park. Lots of fantastic restaurants, bars and clubs. In the middle of skyscrapers you find a little place that's quiet and peaceful. Plants and trees, birds and bees.
Spend a day in that area and see if you like it as much as I do.

People in there (especially guys) are really annoying and aggressive for tourists.
They will keep calling you (using Sir/Madame/Lady or just Hey You) without any reason. If you ignore them they will just scream like animals.
It will e really annoying so prepare for that - probably the best way is just to use your iPod ;]
