Tagaytay is a tourist attraction for local and foreign visitors. It is an excellent vantage point of Taal Lake and Volcano. Tagaytay is only a couple hours south of Manila and the weather is cooler here... you definitely have to check out Taal Volcano, which is the world's smallest volcano... there's a lake within the volcano, which is within a lake. Hard to explain but really cool to see, you can hike the crater too.

Be informed the thunder shower in the afternoon, avoid to be outsides.

Its the summmer capital of the Philippines.. cheap food nice people. very hospitable--just don't piss them off. :) its up in the mountains. weather is perfect. a lot of foreigners going to school and living there- you'll fit right in. go to session road, burnham park and pines view park.

The summer capital of the Phil., very much recommended to visit this place on the month of march, april, and may,(summertime in pinas). Good to stay here because of the moderate temperature. We can enjoy the beauty of nature, pine trees, the mountains, wildlifes and see how the natives lives. We can also taste fresh strawberries. A nice place to stay... far from the madding crowd.
