eden park - nestled at the foot of Mt. Apo, eden park is a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of central davao. the cool weather is just right and your young ones would most likely enjoy the wildlife (i did!) they have peacocks near the hotel area, and a separate deer farm. poor things though, would have wanted them to be in the wild. :) the food is good, specially the salad -- quite fresh when we were there. their restaurant has a covered portion which allows you to dine al fresco, minus the bugs and the rain.

Davao is a beautiful place to go for a vacation.  One can visit the Philippine Eagle sanctuary, go to a butterfly garden and stay for a day or two at Eden Mountain Resort.

One should not miss Samal Island as well and stay in its very luxurious resort--Pearl Farm.  While in Pearl Farm, enjoy the beach and the resort's facilities.

 I have been to Davao thrice and Pearl Farm twice and enjoyed the stay each time.

I've been to Davao twice and that always included a day trip to Pearl Farm.  For P1500, you can lounge around the resort and have a buffet lunch (if you're addicted to crabs - then this is the place for you). When they're not fully booked, they can even give you a cabin. Very nice, very relaxing :)
