ADD TO LISTLocated about 315km south of Manila, Boracay is an island whose beaches have been voted best in the world by some magazines. A well-guarded secret until the 1970s, Boracy has gradually moved from its hidden gem status to becoming one of Philippine's most popular destinations. Among the most famous beaches include White Beach, Bulabog Beach, and Puka Beach. Popular activities aside from relaxing and soaking in the scenery include kiteboarding and windsurfing.

Travel Tips from people who've been to Boracay
I had an unfavorable incident in one of the restaurants in Boracay that offers seafood buffet. I had a terrible stomach ache so I had to stay inside the hotel till I have gotten better. The hotel staff warned us that some of the restaurants might be reheating the leftovers so most of food that are served might not be fresh. Suprisingly, stomach ache is quite a common incident to travelers who had tried seafood buffets.
My suggestion?Better go to D'Talipapa and do the marketing yourself. There are small restaurants around the market that offers to cook whatever you have bought. This can ensure that what you are eating is fresh and not just last night's leftovers.
My all time favorite Place. I've been to the Philippines 3 times and I love the people there. A lot of the people really have respect for tourist.
This was my first trip to Asia, I always travelled to south and central america.
I went to Boracay island to assist a friends wedding, she met her husband years ago in this wonderful hotel.
We went together with another 50 friends, and even if the trip was long, this was an unique opportunity to share a wonderful moment of a friends life and enjoying it all the way.
I flew from Brussels, I live in belgium and the trip was long but very confortable, I chose a good airline (Cathay Pacific) which I recommend.
We stopped in Hong Kong, and then toke another flight to Manila (same airline), followed by another domestic flight to Caticlan, and then finally a boat to Boracay Island.
I was so excited, the boat just arrived in front of the hotel, and I was marveled with the place, they received us with a welcome drink and I felt like a real queen ;).
The hotel is amazing, it its located in the best spot of the island, I loved the way they built the rooms around the facility, so typical for the place, I hate those massive concret marble buildings they call paradise resorts!!
The rooms are simple but confortable and clean, just like an island should be, the food is absolutly fantastic and not expensive at all, we had lot of cocktails on the beach and almost an everyday massage in the cabana by the sea, the prices were tempting.
The hotel is located not so far from the center, which I only went 2 times to eat and shop, you can take a tuk tuk and its only 10 minutes away or walk if you want to enjoy the sunset.
The tuk tuks are cheap, 1 dollar per ride (i always gave more) and its a lot of fun to ride it.
I absolute recomend this hotel, I was in love with the breakfast every morning, and the personel is the best, all of them.
the hotel as lots of activities for the aventure type, i took a typical philipine boat with some friends to go arround the island, to swim and drink fresh coconut water, i didnt want to leave, I hope to go back one day!!
