Gdansk is located at the mouth of Poland's Vistula River, and has been an important economic and cultural center for many centuries. Formerly known as Danzig, it has an attractive old town with row houses. These row houses have interesting dragon-headed gutter spouts, and older important buildings such as the Old Town Hall and Arthur's Court can be found here. Gdansk is also known as the birthplace of the Solidarity movement.

0122Very good communication between Gdansk and two cities next to it : Sopot and Gdynia. Trains are departing every 10-20 minutes (depends on the time of the day).
In summer overcrowded and it's hard to make your way or have clear view for photo.
Water in the sea isn't too clear and cold so many people swim there.
Great nightlife in Sopot, many clubs near main street. Usually you have to pay for the entrance during the weekend.
All in all if you want to have fun and meet people there you can do it.

0114The SKM is a local train network that connects Gdańsk with the two major and most attractive cities nearby- Gdynia and Sopot. The SKM station in Gdańsk is right next to the main train station (Gdańsk Główny). Trains are blue and yellow and during the day they come approx. every 15 minutes (they also ride at night- 24h) It's a very cheap and the quickest way to get to Sopot (0,5euro- 15 minutes) and Gdynia (1 euro- 30 minutes)
