Travel Tips from people who've been to Szczecin
A city in Poland, located next to the boarder with Germany (West). Very near the Baltic Sea.

This city is the second biggest harbour in Poland. It's not a tourist spot, unless all you need is a bit of rest. Than it's really a good place to visit. The water is pretty clear and there are a lot of clubs, restaurants, mostly small ones. A very small old city, kept rather clean.

With ships you can get to other polish cities like Hel, Gdynia, Gdańsk and also to the island of Bornholm (it's not a part of Poland).

The website of the city can be found here http://www.szczecin.pl/umszczecinswiat/chapter_59000.asp

All most important landmarks can be found there.

Don't eat too much fresh vegetables like lettuce, tomatoes...you might get sick. After a track meet, all the teams were invited to a buffet. Instead to wait for the hot meals,my teammates and I decided to get salads. The day after we all got sick in our way to the airport, and even in the airplane :op It was funny to figure out that the only one who felt good was the one who did not eat salads. Be careful about what you eat!

Ok as Polish towns go, though hardly very inspiring. They could have made better use of the river. The modern mall is surprising really, as is the international food choice available there. There are a couple of old buildings/courtyards and one souvenir shop in the centre with ok stuff (nice ladies who don't speak English but are eager to please). Material for a max of 3 hours here.
