Travel Tips for Dos and Don'ts in Poznan

Poznan, Wielkopolska Region, Poland

So, when you arrive, you must see so called "koziolki". Those are 2 mechanical gouts fighting to each other on the tower (right above the clock) of the city council. Make sure tat you arrive at noon sharply, since they are fighting just once a day and without seeing it, as locals may say, you haven't been to Poznan. Though I was pretty disapointed - expected more action :) As for the locals - they are very friendly and helpful, but you must speak.. Polish. Well - you may try English (or German, since it is just 300km from Berlin) with younger generation. In Poznan there is also a Malta lake. Last centrury they just digged out a lake in the city. Pretty interesting idea. But it is quite nice to spend an evening, for here you can rent bicycle or ski in the middle of the summer. No kidding! Anyways - it is a nice place to spend time. Poznan ir very active and quite a big city, where all the time something is going on.
