Lovely day-trip from Evora. One of the many fortified hilltop villages that dot the Portugues-Spanish border. This one is special, because from the walls you can't only see all the way to Spain, the Barragem de Algueva (Europe's largest manmade lake) is right next door and gives it all a very eary atmosphere.
