This place being very close to the capital city of Portugal, Lisbon, I highly recommend this place. You can visit the Tower of Belem (that is on the water and you have a wonderful view from there), the Monasterio de los Jerónimos, etc. But don't leave the city without trying their famous cakes!

Belem! You can taste the best Portugese traditional pastry called "Belem" in a very spacious cafe  "Belem" which has been there since 1837. Enjoy!
