Albufeira Travel Guide

Pine Cliffs Albufeira, Portugal.
A wonderful hotel. This was our first vacation in Southern Portugal and this property had us completely blown away. The grounds are impeccable. A winding path takes you from the hotel perched on the cliffs down to a stunning and somewhat private beach with full ammenities including drinks, food, towel service, etc. We spent nights lying on chaise lounges and looking at the stars in the seeming solitude of our 'own' resort. Days were spent lying poolside with drink and book in hand...and the time spent in between we did what every good tourist should do when visiting another culture...we ate. 
My wife and I were newly engaged when we first visited Pine Cliffs and now we have three babies!!!! Hawaii has been the 'easy' vacation spot for us but Pine Cliffs is exactly the hotel I look forward to taking the kids to now that they can make the longer journey to Europe so I am looking forward to going back soon.

A great restaurant to eat at is O Viviero. Choose the tourist menu: Euors 9.50 in October 2009 for well cooked local food: bread and olives, soup, main course (we had fish which came with rice, chips and salad, a dessert (I chose creme caramel), coffee and a half bottle of wine per person. Located at the end opposite end of  the pedestrian zone from the tunnel under the walls to the sea,

Plages fabuleuses, rue des bars dégentée, centre ville de folies, endroit idéal pour passer de folles vacances à se dorer la pilule, faire la fiesta à n'en plus finir. Très bel endroit à visiter également et je conseille de louer un voiture et longer toute la côte jusque là où le Portugal tourne : Sagres. Tous le long de magnifiques plages à découvrir avec les falaises en décors.
