Questions answered about visiting Ad Dawhah
What hotels you have stayed in Doha, Qatar?
Hello, is it OK to walking the streets in Doha for a woman travelling single. I'm going there in January for a conference and I don't know which hotel to choose. Closer to the city and have opportunity to explore the city and closer to the conference if walking is impossible. I've checked that the weather should be very nice for walking that time.

Travel Tips from people who've been to Ad Dawhah
Fantastic for the it's outstanding water front...The Corniche.
Go sailing with Captain Mike out of the marina at the Sheraton.

Excellent Indian food in most every restaurant.  The Chinese food is rancid.  For the sports enthusiast, you'll find venues for nearly every sport imaginable professional and amateur facilities are state-of-the-art and bountiful.

The men are gorgeous and plentiful.  Women are gorgeous too....but if you're a man, you'll rarely experience the pleasure of getting to know these Muslim beauties.

Pearl and Paloma are the two popular clubs in town.  But Cloud 9 and Garfield's are much funkier fare for the expats that live in Doha.

Driving in Doha can be daunting as the roads are still rather new (or still under construction).  this means that signage is minimal and experienced local drivers do not obey any implied traffic safety rules.

For women  travelers  covering up your shoulders and knees is a must, as much as it is  recommend  by the local government .. there are a lot of single men here or men without their wives and they have a tendency to stare if you dont cover up which is a little off-putting! At the hotel pools and private beaches its fine to wear a bikini though to get a good tan!
