Planning a Trip to Reunion
Saint-Gilles-les Bains, Reunion Stayed at Hotel Le Recif at Saint-Gilles-Les Bains in August 2010. Reasonable quality room, helpful staff (can and will speak English if asked nicely). Breakfast was good although not all food was available from the start. Dinner buffet very disappointing and expensive (around 30 Euros). Free internet available near reception. Nice pool on complex with tennis court and very basic gym area. Beach is nice with lots of locals on the weekend. Nightclubs are extremely noisy nearby on weekends (quiet enough in rooms though) and go on all night and into the morning. Good tip? (0) Ile de la Reunion, Reunion Aight, As soon as you get off the plane, you'll meet many kind and great people! They will ask you straight to go get a drink at their own place! It's amazing! The island is really pretty! Volcano, beaches, different kind of animals, and the food is just great. Pay attention, cause really spicy but with a awesome taste! Enjoy Good tip? (+1) Hell-Bourg, Reunion Half a hell, half a typical French village (or bourg), you'll enjoy this schizophrenic place while swallowing the local lobsters Good tip? (+1) Saint-Andre, Reunion Go there especially for Divali or Holi, two among the most popular and picturesque Indian celebration days Good tip? (+1) Saint-Leu, Reunion Fabuleuses plages mais attention aux oursins dans le lagon ! Pour ceux et celles qui souffrent d'arachnophobie, une espèce d'araignées d'assez bonne taille et tigrée domine ! Good tip? (+1) Saint-Leu, Reunion Ma ville natale où vivent toujours mes parents adorés Good tip? (+1) |
