Bucharest Transportation

is a funny city, with a huge and cheap nighlife. The city is grey because of all the buildings built during the communism, streets are not always safe but not so much dangerous, is not the most beautiful city in romania but u can stop to see one of the biggest building in the world. The cost of life is cheap with LEU the courrency. People are not always friendly, u hav to be safe, but i met some beautiful ones that made me change my mind a little. the transportation are very good and cheap, i paid more and less 7 euros monthly for underground that connect all the main districts. The food is cheap and good, if like soups and vegetables there are a lot of markets with fresh food.

not so much to be seen in bucharest but do not miss the house of the parliament. it's huge. there are rooms the size of football courts, with matching carpets and furniture. take the guided tour, it's worth it. to get around, use the cheap public transport. a ticket costs 1/3 euro. for the subway - a 2-trip card is 2/3 euro and a 10-trip card is 2,50 euro.

WHen exchanging money, go to best exchange office as they vary from one office to another, but it takes lots of walking. Food is fab but watch for sheep brain! Tzantzari are flies that if bitten by them can make you itch till skin comes off!

The traffic is like hell in this city, beware of the cabdrivers, some can't be trusted. Look at the outside of the cabs to see the price noticed,don't take the ons over 2 RON. A good place to eat is the Balthazar restaurant, delicious food in a beautiful jugendstl house.
