0071. After my first visit there in the 5th grade I became fascinated by this museum and it made me want to become an archaeologist....but life chose another path for me. There you can find artefacts and objects found from the earliest ages of life on this land till present, skelets, vases, costumes, jewelleries, weapons...you name it. I sometimes wish I could go there more often..what stoppes me? I don't know...
2. Histria Fortress is located at 63 km away from Constanta and is the oldest attested Greek settling on the territory of Romania. It was founded in the 7th Century B.C bt the Greeks coming from Milet, Asia Minor. Here we can admire Aphrodite's Temple, Zeus's Temple, Roman baths, forums and other remais of the great civilizations developed on Pontus Euxin's (Black Sea, the way it was called in ancient times) shores. The museum located there is also very interesting and I hope it's still in a good shape.

0266If you arrive by train at the Constanta station, don't get in the harbour area after dark. We tried to reach the black sea from there, but the area is quite big, so we had to walk a few miles till we reached the promenade at the sea. It's prohibited to sleep there so don't try, cause at last but not least there are thousands of roaches in summer. If you walk a bit further you'll find a nice li'l pizzeria up the Street. Enjoy..

02246I already wrote something, but I'll write again. Constanta is a FASCINATING place. Nice beach, nice party places, you can find a lot of people and pretty girls... but it also has this misticism, this feeling that is difficult to describe. You're in a very old town, you're walking where people lived some thousand years ago... I've always wanted to go there, and I'll be back, definitley
