Mangalia is a truly magnificent place to visit. Its a lovely small town in Romania by the Black Sea. It isn't a big place to visit but is famous for its beaches (although I did visit the place in November). Overall it has a lovely feel and most things that you need are within reach. Their markets are full of interesting products, not what you would find in a usual market but more Eastern Europe related things. And the beach there is magnificent, I spent hours just sitting there gazing out to the Black Sea, a truly magnificent place.

well, it's close to the bulgarian border...the town Vama Veche on the romanian side is well worth a visit. good alternative party town
