Iasi Travel Guide

Don't even think about jumping into a taxi. The walk around the city is really nice and you can find something interesting to see almost everywhere. It's one of the most important cities in Romania . For food I will recommend you Bolta Rece or Hanul Ancutei(not in Iasi, but if you are in Moldova, try to find it). Traditional Romanian food, traditional music and very friendly people. For money it's better to go to a bank.It's safe and the exchange rate is good(BRD,BCR or Bank Post). If you don't know Romanian it's not a problem. You will find people speaking English almost everywhere, especially young people. Don't hesitate to ask for directions!

Cuza" and the first national theatre "Teatru National V. Alecsandri" was found. For visiting you just need one day. The main attraction are: The Palace of Culture (Palatul Culturii) which is today the place of a big museum, old romainian churches ( Trai Ierarhi, Mitropolia, Galata, Cetatuia ).

They like to kiss cheeks 3 times in a row, drink digestives and eat fat... food is great, people are usually nice... it's cheap to stay here, I know loads of people in town so just ask! first university in the country, memorial houses, museum - they have this miniature louvre-like palace they call the Palac eof culture.
