Samara, Volga (Privolzhsky) Region, Russia
Tinkoff Brewery/Restaurant: while the setting is rather upperclass, you can eat a lot for little money. Tinkoff is a Russian beer brewery, so you are at the source here ;)
They also serve sushi, and at night it turns into a club when local or national bands and DJs perform, from Rock to Electro.

Tobol'sk, Urals Region, Russia
Tobol'sk is average city in Western Siberia. The only interesting place I noticed is the local kremlin. Very nice! No reasons to go there!

Saint Petersburg, Central Russia, Russia
The true Venice of the North. Hermitage is great, Cathedral is overwhelming, Peter Paul fortress is cool (particularly when the locals are sun-bathing against the walls a day after it snows). Must do: Swan lake in the Mariyinsky.
