What to Bring: Bubble Gum - I traded it with kids in exchane for translator services ALL THE TIME! It turns out that the bubblemint flavor isn't really offered there so I bought loads of 3 packs on the advice of my friend - and I'm so glad I did! I couldn't believe it works - but it's true! So remember that next time you're scheduled to hit Moskva (Moscow) and you will be glad you did!

Velikiy Ustyug is famous as home of the Father Frost, Russian Santa Claus. He has big house in the forest which was developed for excursions and rest. This is very nice place for children because of small zoo with north animals, big house with inimitable rooms for sightseeing, fabulous wood with different characters of Russian fairy tales etc. It will be funny and interesting trip! Territory is well-furnished, there are several cafes and restaurant with Russian food, one big hotel and cottages for the guests.

Vladivostok is not exactly what I expected of Russia for one thing the locals are very friendly. I also assumed that their natural choice of alcohol would be vodka this is not the case beer is the popular choice. You won't find many restaurants but a large number of carnival like stalls that sell either beef or crab legs on the board walk area by the ocean. If you do go to a bar the vodka is better than anywhere else I've had it though I couldn't spell or pronounce the type even if I remembered what it was. Watch out if you're approached by children who are begging they are expert pick pockets (my friend had his wallet removed by one), also if you're seen giving money you may be accosted by a group of teenagers who although covet your money won't be the type to beg for it

GENERATOR Club, Tolyatti
rock music/live club just outside of town. rather small but very rock'n'roll! the bar has just about nine beer glasses, so sometimes you have to wait for them to collect and wash 'em... lot of famous russian and also international bands played there.

Tinkoff Brewery/Restaurant: while the setting is rather upperclass, you can eat a lot for little money. Tinkoff is a Russian beer brewery, so you are at the source here ;)
They also serve sushi, and at night it turns into a club when local or national bands and DJs perform, from Rock to Electro.

Bring warm clothes whenever u come here, smt. we have snow in june;)

Has one of the worlds most modern underground tubes, have a look at it, you wouldnt expect it. Also try the various local dishes, some of them are ok some are really amazing.

Don't drink the water! Count the stops on the metro as the signs are written in cyrillic

Not yet visit it but hope to visit it to see the great shows of bolshowi and the crimlen and the nice musemes

Tuberculosis is an issue and travelers should be mindful of this when being in close proxmity to locals in markets, subways and elsewhere.
