Travel Tips from people who've been to Saint-Pierre
Nightlife is the best; there is always something going on, especially in summer, around July 14th.
Transportation is easy; the island is small enough that all can be done on foot. If you,re not a walker, there are taxis, and you can rent bicycles or mopeds.
Money - they use the Euro (it's a French island) but Canadian and US Dollars are accepted in most places (I have yet to see one where they're not).
To access the islands, you can take a ferry from Fortune, Nfld or fly from Montreal, Halifax, Sydney (Nova Scotia) or St-John's (Nfld).
It's lovely, really... and the people are really nice! Good tip? (0) Cool Place. Just off the coast of Canada but belongs to France and it is VERY FRENCH. Haven't been there for many years but when we went the runway was scarily short....if you get my drift. But fun to do. Good tip? (0) Recent Updates for Saint-Pierre
