Podor is an old colonial town. Things to see are the quay and the fort. It is the most northern town in Senegal, and during colonial times it was very wealthy thanks to gold trade.

  03422The French Fort has recently been restored and is worth a visit. Though you might have some difficulties finding the keykeeper (who's also an excellent, friendly guide).
