Singapore has different visa requirements for different nationalities. Nationals of many western countries may not need to obtain a visa to enter Singapore for short stays. However, different visa requirements apply for different lengths of stay and for nationals of different groups of countries. Also, pregnant women regardless of nationality are required to obtain a visa to enter Singapore.
Note that visitors who have overstayed their allowed time period are subject to prosecution and the penalty can be severe.
In order to ensure smooth entry into (and departure from) the country, all visitors must check with the Singapore embassy in their country or the Singapore Government about the visa requirements applicable to their nationality and condition.
Apart from visa requirements, visitors must have a passport valid for more than 6 months, have sufficient funds, have an onward ticket and entry facilities (visa) to the next destination.
