Ljubljana Travel Guide

eh...tu sam bio prije par godina, a gradic...manji od zagreba...ne sjecam se nicega skoro...

I  spend 2 weeks in Ljubljana, Slovenia, dinning every day out.

Absolutely perfect place.
Great food:

• »kranjska sausage« served with roasted potato and horse radish - this potatos are just marvellous;
• roasted lamb leg from "bela krajina" region with root celery puré and chard- this meal was heavenly tasty!
• also starters - their home-made salami was just great, as well as cheese dumplings with wild garlic and smoked cottage cheese.

good, reasonably priced wines & perfect service.

It's rather crowdy so I suggest to make reservation for evening.

For all the open minded ppl I suggest visiting "Metelkova Mesto", an ex-military barracks complex just by the railway station, which houses famous Celica Hostel and is a home to many artists studios (including Slovenian electronic music pioneers Laibach) and a whole bunch of different themed clubs with music repertoire ranging from newest electronic beats (techno, drum&bass, dubstep, dub, mnml, ...) to rock, punk, raggea,....
The gay/lesbinan community is strong with two distinct clubs.
Also featuring own Metelkova cuisine...
City in itself.
