Postojna offers one of the most important tourist attractions in South Eastern Europe: the 20-km long cave system - Postojna Cave. It was discovered in the 17th century, and since then various and definite improvements have been made. You can take a train-trip inside the cave, where various surprises await for you. There you can find some unique world-wide species of animals.
Another touristic attraction would be the Predjama Castle set within the mouth of a cave.

Do NOT in any case stay in Epicenter hotel! It is a big shopping-center like thing and the hotel rooms are situated directly above the disco and the bowling alley. We spent there 5 nights and never had a good night's sleep. Although they at least had the decency to reduce the prices a little after we made a complaint.
