Piran is one of the most beautiful world cities. It is under UNESCOs protection. Only locals can enter with cars, otherwise it's close for traffic because of the narrow streets covered with cable stone. It is possible to ride a bike or scooter inside the city. There are lots of places to stay. For young travelers the best option is a hostel behind a lighthouse.

Nova Gorica is a town and a municipality in western Slovenia, on the italian border. Nova Gorica is a new town, built in 1948, when the Paris Peace Teatryestablished a new border between jugoslavia and Italy, leaving nearby Goriziaoutside the borders of Yugoslavia and thus decapitating the area of the lower Viapava Valley from its regional center. Nova Gorica is the principal urban center of the traditional region of Goriska in the Slovenian Littoral

In Ljubljana you have to go to Joe Penas (good food and coctails), the castle is a must, you have to sleep in hostel Celica, what to bring - good walking shoes :)

Everything is more or less walking distance, no need for public transport in Ljubljana, maybe just renting a bike.
