Travel Tips from people who've been to Addo
Addo Elephant National Park is fantatsic for game viewing...they have the big 7 - elephant lion, rhino, leopard, buffalo, great white sharks and whales...! not to mention loads of warthogs too, and other game species. You can do walks and horse rides through the park, or drive your own vehicle around to go game viewing. you can camp or stay in a chalet and the have a lovley restaurant there, as well as a waterhole at the rest camp where you can watch animals from if you're too lazy to go driving. you'll see more if you drive though.

Addo Elephant Park is a very nice Game Park close to Port Elisabeth or simply PE. Not only home to elephants but also to other African wild animals, among others the rare almost white Namibian lion. It is possible, like in the Kruger Park to drive with your own car. To stay overnight, you can ring Scotia Lodge (just "next door"), a private lodge, with very nice and caring owners, a lot of wild animals and very skilled rangers. They also organise trips to Addo Elephant Park

Addo is great if you want to see Elephants, there not really wild, but they have around 60 elephants there, the only downside is the tarmac road, its not that fun, i would go to the Cub Lion Park, there i have seen my first Giraffe, amazing really, didnt know there where so big :).

But Addo is a great location, very cool to drive around, thou avoid the heat, go on a semi rainy day, you`ll see allot more animals.
