Personally i think Boo Kaap is the most interesting part of Cape Town. People are friendly and very welcoming, especially if you are of Malay origin from Malaysia or Indonesia.
Do make a point to visit the Mosques and the "Kramat"s as one can learn a little about the origins of Malays there.
Go up to the Battery Point too and witness the spectacular sunset.

cape town is the best city in south africa. there is lots to do there you can go hike or take a cable ar up the table mountain. catch a ferry to robben island. go to n1 city (which is a big shopping mall). you can reach cape town by plane or my car (if you live in s.a). most of the international flights go through johannesburg but some dircet.

Ok, now taking a hike down cape point, the southest point of south africa is a journey to remember. Just watch out for those Baboons, do not carry food on you, and if you acidently do and a baboon attacks you, don´t fight it for the food, just give it to them... that was a mistake I wont be doing again :p. Ok cape mountain is a good clime as well, thea beach is lovely. You can rent some nice horses there and go for a ride, and then of course you have to take a boat ride to Robben Island and learn all about Mandela's imprisoment and his struggle for freedom and road to changing history and that...

Cape Town has great food and wine! If you have never tried the wine specific to South Africa- the Pinotage- be sure to do it here! There are many varieties, but I have found Clos Malverne Pinotage and Douglas Green Cinsaut Pinotage to be great wines! Try the seafood in all varieties. Sushi at the Cape Town Fish Market restaurant is wonderful.

I've been around but this is the most beautiful place on the planet. I know, it will be hard to find a similar spot. Lovely nature reserves where you can do a safari. You should go for a horse riding safari as you get closer to the animals,nice! Many high quality restaurants with decent prices. Not to forget a fantastic choice of wine all local! And you can go out for days and meet the nice and friendly South Africans! *****

Go to the top of Table mountain at the first chance of fine weather as it can often be cloudy and the cable car to the top of the mountain is closed when it is cloudy.
