South Africa Dos and Don'ts
Travel Tips for Dos and Donts in South AfricaCape Town, Cape Province, South Africa I've been around but this is the most beautiful place on the planet. I know, it will be hard to find a similar spot. Lovely nature reserves where you can do a safari. You should go for a horse riding safari as you get closer to the animals, nice! Many high quality restaurants with decent prices. Not to forget a fantastic choice of wine all local! And you can go out for days and meet the nice and friendly South Africans! ***** Good tip? (+2) Camps Bay, Cape Province, South Africa Great beach near the center of Cape Town, great cafes, resturants and people Good tip? (+1) Camps Bay, Cape Province, South Africa Theatre on the bay is a must, try to attend a performance there Good tip? (+1) Johannesburg, Gauteng Province, South Africa Filet steak for no money at the Grillhouse accompanied by lovely spinach, don't forget to order a local wine. May a 'Allesverloren'!! Don't forget the safari....Don't go to the Mahkavli (?) Lodge in Bella Bella, they're game reserve isn't as great as they think... Good tip? (0) Ladybrand, Free State, South Africa I lived here for 4 years; it is a pretty small market town right on the Lesotho / South African border. It is fairly pleasant, but not really a tourist spot - far more of a commuter base for those that work across the border in Maseru (but do not want to live in Lesotho ). There are a few bed and breakfast type accommodation places to stay and a central shopping area, but little to see (unless you want to visit an off-the-beaten track sort of place, where you can just observe how the locals live in the interior of S.A. ) Good tip?
