Travel Tips from people who've been to Suwon
Lots of places to eat and drink. Allot of the nightlife is at bars or clubs. Not a whole lot of clubs to choose from but tons and tons of bars. The food is very mixed, you can find anything from Chinese, Tai, Japanese to even Popeye's Chicken. The local children like to try to talk in English though minimal and a decent number of adults can speak a little. The Ibis Hotel is great for foreigners, but a bit pricey. The traffic and driving habits are insane, so be careful if you venture to drive while visiting.

If you're ever in Seoul, Suwon is a great day trip away from the hustle and bustle of a big city. Just an hour trip on the very easy subway.

Suwon offers a amazing wall (not comparable to the great wall) but DEFINITELY worth seeing. Other than the wall, there is also a fortress and some temples.

Take a day and explore the wall, it offers a great view and a great work out!

I love walking around the Fortress Wall. You could spend a day walking around the whole thing, although I only did half and came back to finish the rest.
Suwon Folk Village (30 mins by bus from the train station) is also great. You could easily spend a day there, too.
