Travel Tips from people who've been to Asturias Region
Gijón (North coast of Asturias, Spain) has developed a clean face for tourism. Old houses got "make up". City center got space for people, keeping cars apart. Some museums, looooots of places to eat its regional specialties -from cheap to gourmet-, a couple of clean beaches. "Sidrerías" to go before lunch or for lunch. Trendy cafés for the afternoon and evening. And places to go and have a drink at night and listen to music (say the suburb "Cimadevilla"). An aquarium to see living fishes. A railway museum. An international film festival in November-December. To drink cider: old tradition and high quality. To eat: fabada... different kinds ot "pot"... you must go, see and taste it! Good meat from the mountains and woods... Good fish from its coast... Deserts: casadiellas, frixuelos,... And all the "sidrerías" arround the city in its green slopy environment among mountains and sea.

Really beautyful tiny village in asturias, North region of Spain. Walking towards the middle of the town you'll get an impressive and georgeous view of a typical 18th century fishermen's village. There are a lot of restaurants and is a really turistic place for visitors so even though the food is good is really expensive. The place is really safe and the access is not really hard. You need a car to get here and you can practice canoeing, fishing, and more outdoor activities.
