Canarias (Canary Islands) Region Dos and Don'ts

I suggest u go to the north Las Palmas if ya wana see the REAL SPAIN!!!!! the lil villages and the locals are very nice .. btw guys u need good spanish to visit these parts... but if u wana hol wit loud nasty drunken brits then go to south where tha brits go it shite but if u wana get pissed n eat chips all day n sit in tha sun thats ur choice but i wud rather have a hol wit a bit more flaour why do that I can do it at home rather than wasting my hols xoxo

HEllo there, la palma is a little island in the atlantic ocean, part of the canary islands, its one of the less known ones in comparison to teneriffe and grancanaria, the island itself is a beatufull island and its also called "la isla bonita" the preaty island, its quite cheap for food but since the euro its getting more expensive also the goverment is trying to make it into a more known holiday destination which is a bit of a shame, if you want to see the traditional island i advise that you rent a car, or travel by bus (there quite cheap and go preaty much anywere) there is some really siple yet good food, like the chipi chipi (not good for vegeterians) in san andres i sauces there is an amazing fish restaurant. if you want to find them just ask the locals the chipi chipi is quite well known around the santa cruz area (tha capital) but you will need a car to get there. the hotels are normal prises but there is quite a few campig places. (sorry for the spelling mistakes)

This is one of the more expencive parts to live in Las Palmas with very nice villas. There is great arcitecture in this part of town. The catholic school only for girls is a great old church. Nice to just take a walk here!

The trip to telde from Las Palmas is a great ride. In telde there is great genuin canarian resturants. A tip is to try local food... the so caled "tapas" try all kinds of fish and shellfish!
