This art of city dazzling architectural landscape is the work of two architects, Antonio Gaudi and Domenech Montaner. Their work has account for nine UNESCO World Heritage sites including casa Mila, Crypt in Colonia Guell, Palau de la Musica Catalana, Park Guell and Sagrada Familia. The history of Barcelona is until now well preserve and symbolized the Spanish tradition. If you familiar with La Rambla, this is the famous and perfect place to soak in the city’s culture. They say that, if you sit here long enough, you will see all of Barcelona pass by you. This is like 24 hr of rejoicing place with fantastic sight of the entire city. The Barcelona Museums in Santa Madrona boast of artifacts dating back to the 17 th century. The Frederic Mares Museums displays a wide array of Spanish scriptures and artworks from the middle ages, including masterpieces of Virgin Mary and the crucifix. Good tip? (0) Barcelona, Catalonia Region, Spain Barcelona is a beautiful city with beautiful people. The food is wonderful, the pastries delish, the shopping great, and the history amazing! Barcelona is a city full of culture and is a city that feels very authentic- unlike some other European city's that just feel like another American city with people speaking a different language! The transportation here in Barcelona is great. The train system is efficient and will get you pretty much anywhere for a good price. The best way to get around in my opinion. The wording is in both English and Spanish so not to worry. La Sagrada Familia Cathedral in Barcelona has to be the single most amazing, breath-taking piece of architecture I have ever seen- even compared to the Colosseum in Rome. The Colosseum is amazing historically, but the La Sagrada Familia is absolutely awe-inspiring. The carvings that cover the humongous cathedral are beyond incredible. So when in Barcelona, make sure you do NOT miss La Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas (an amazing street covered in shopping and entertainment), and the Passieg de Gracia (a street for more upscale shopping). Have fun! Good tip? (0) |
