If you cross the border from Ceuta to Tetouan, try to do it in the daytime when there is plenty of traffic. We were there in the night and had to wait long time till the taxi was getting full and started to Tetouan. We bargained with a driver a cheap price to start without filling up the car. He tried to sell hashish on the way and when he was refused, he got very angry, sweared like hell and turned back to the border! He was counting on the extra income he expected from the sale... We were waiting for a few hours at the border with another driver to get the cab full and start towards Tetouan.

Be ready to haggle on pricing for any number of good at the bazaar in the streets.  Clothing, statues, knick-knacks, jewelry.  Very Middle Eastern but still owned by Spain.  Board the walk-on Ferry in Algeciras, sail around the island of Gibraltar and disembark in what seems to be a world away.
