Travel Tips from people who've been to Finisterre
Finisterre, Spain Everybody here will know Santiago de Compostela and the camino that thousands of pilgrims a year still take. But after finally reaching Santiago, the road goes on. For centuries, pilgrims have been walking the last 60 odd kilometres to Finisterre - the end of the world - to burn the clothes they have been in travelling in for months. Say you got too attached to your dirty cloths, the place is still worth going to. From the rock of the lighthouse you get the most amazing view over the Atlantic, with water as far as the eye can see almost all around you. No need to say that sunsets are particularly beautiful up there...
Go up to the lighthouse and wait for the sunset. It's one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. The sun touching the Atlantic Ocean and slowly vanishing beyond the horizon. If you have been on the Camino de Santiago and decided to finish your journey at the "world's end", it's definitely one highlight and a nice reward.
Es realmente un lugar increíble. Forma parte del Camino de Santiago y posee unos paisajes para disfrutarlos.
