Travel Tips from people who've been to Alicante
If you want to go somewhere in Spain where English is more like the first language, beer is cheap, is full of Brits, is basically Blackpool with a nicer beach and sunshine and less amusements this is the place for you. If you want to actually see Spain it is not, although there are some nice bars (Sherrys and Irish bar) and a nice tapas place in the old town up by the old Church on the hill. Good tip? (0) Not much to see in Alicante. I lived there for 5 months. The shopping is fun but mostly... just spend time on the beach. It's clean and has nice sand. Watch your belongings though... there are people trying to snag stuff. The el barro is awesome... so many little bars and then the discos are out by the water! The party just keeps going all night! Good tip? (0) Nightlife in Spain starts pretty late...So it's a good way to start with some drinks at EL BARRIO and then to move to clubs. There's no enterance fee ( exept Swing). If you like reggeton, salsaton, or just latin music go to EL PUERTO- a lot of good clubs over there! Otherwise, Havana,Mulligans-good choice :) Good tip? (0)
