Travel Tips from people who've been to Central & Northern Sweden
Good place to party. Very good bars and big hill. Good tip? (+1) FOREX OFFICES AT STORGATAN Good tip? (+1) If you want to experience the northern lights, wild reindeer, see the original ice hotel and go dog sledding then Kiruna is the place. Located 150 km above the arctic circle in Lapland Sweden its a winter wonderland. The town is pretty small so easy to navigate. You will find a couple of cheap eats such as a thai restaurant and a pizza at the top of the main street. There is only one bar and two clubs (Ferrum and Babylon) in town. The Scandig hotel has the one bar and one of the clubs (Ferrum) and the other club is near the town clock. Beer isn't cheep about 5 euro a pint.A must do in Kiruna is the ice Hotel (its the original)catch the local bus out and back its cheaper. Huskysafari is a good company for dog sledding (the guy's hilarious). If you arrive on a sunday the tourist center is not open nor much of anything else and the shops close around 5 on week days and 3 on saturdays.City stay hostel hotel is a pretty good place to stay nice rooms and good location...
