Travel Tips from people who've been to Stockholm
As for the sightseeing, I was really impressed by the Gamla Stan - that's the name of the Old Town. Visit Vasa Museum, Junibacken, City Hall. This places are really great. As for the nightlife - was in the Spy Bar - liked the design, the music wasn't as good though.
Btw, keep in mind that the alkohol is Really expensive there due to the state monopoly on it.
In general, Stockholm is really great. Loved it!!!!!
Good tip? (0) You can buy a 24h-travel card that allows you to unlimited travel on public transportation (SL busses, the underground and for example the ferry to Djurgårgen). The ticket is 100SEK (10e) but you have to buy a 20SEK plastic card to load it in to. So if someone offers you a blue plastic card with the word aCCess on it, take it! (On the right down corner letters SL). It´s worth 20SEK. The normal adult oneway ticket is 40SEK. Good tip? (0) If you do sightseeing just neerby the center, better to walk than spend money on publictransport which is very expensive there. The distences just seems to be big, if the weather is nice it's awesome. Moreover you can find a lot of treasures everywhere if you look around carefully: nice little shops, beautyful buildings...etc. Good tip? (0)
