Swedish university city with a decidedly studentish feel to it ... a very pleasant place with lovely cafes and bars to sit around in...and conveniently close to Stockholm... spend a few days here to relax and mingle, a few months or years to study, or a few hours to look around a bit...

Good tip?

nice little town, but i would rather visit it during the university semester as it is otherwise pretty dull and emty. the city itself consist of one shopping street and a big church, but the university part of the town is great and beautiful. if you want to travel from stockholm to uppsala do it by train, but buy the ticket  a few days before the trip because they are less expensive then. moreover, you should not be fixed on one particular time of your departure as the prices vary on the time the train leaves. you really should go to the info station at stockhom centralen in order to purchase a cheap ticket!
