Travel Tips from people who've been to Montreux
You cannot miss Chateau Chillon!! Gorgeous place to visit.... even better if you go walking by the lake shore (45 min), absolutely gorgeaous views oif town & the Alps. Good tip? (+1) Montreux is an exiting place in a "bore" country like Switzerland. Located on the shores of Lake Geneva, it becomes every year, early July, the Jazz Capital City of the World. Since more then 40 years. Originally a vacation ressort over 100 years ago, cherrished by the British, it has become a "hotspot" for international congresses, events and tourism. You will have fun there.Me, I love the city so much, that I have applied for citizenship and obtained it.Montreux can easily be reached from Geneva Airport by a 1 hour train trip. And then you can rest in one of the fancy hotels. Or have a drink a "Harry's New York Bar". Good tip? (0) Festival de montreux simplement superbe!!!
C'est le Monaco en Suisse!! JAJA!!
