Rent a Bike

There are several places throughout Bern to rent a bike for the day. When arriving in Bern via train you’ll see a lot of bike rentals right outside the station. It’s a relatively small city and therefore navigating the streets on a bike is a great way to get acclimated with the area. It’s also a biking city, so if you’re driving in the city beware of riders and pedestrians for that matter. After you’re finished exploring the city ride up into the surrounding hills for spectacular views of the area. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

Equipment: Rent a bike from one of the rental places near the train station.

do it the easy bernoise style: sure you visit the *Bärengraben* (yes it's small - but soon the poor bears gonna have a bigger new terrain with access to the river) and afterwards stroll through the old village, do some serious shopping (or windowshopping if low on budget), walk by Bundeshaus (Swiss Parliament) stop at one little charming cafes/bars on one of the small streets called "Gassen" and drink a local beer, white wine or cappuccino - generally take it nice easy in swiss capitol city.
eat a *Fondue* or *Gschwellti garniert, mit Käse und gemischtem Salat* at Restaurant Harmonie www.Harmonie.ch. and dance later that night at a DubquestSession www.dubquest.com in www.Dampfzentrale.ch or alternatively check www..Sous-Soul.ch, for small concerts check www.ISC-Club.ch and for bigger ones www.Bierhuebeli.ch

speak slowly with the locals - they don't like hectic

Berne is my hometown and at the same time the capital of Switzerland. I think Bern is a beautiful city, especially the so-called von Bern Aldtstadt. There you'll find many small beautiful streets, old buildings, etc. The nice thing about Bern is of course continue our dear, beautiful green Aare, in which you walk for hours along, or as my friends and I was swimming in summer and on Aarenufer cozy barbecue! The city of Bern offers many opportunities as starting countless cinemas, a bar's, clubs, etc. However, it is difficult to what music style you like ... Berne but also from a sporting point of view much, that we should not forget how the hockey club SCB and Footballteam
Young Boys Bern, which in Bern hot to be loved and revered. For those who are interested, there are still countless opportunities seeing how the Bear Park, which is being renovated or new building is better said, the Bern Cathedral, the ghost house, restaurant, etc. Zytgloggetower and meals can be found everywhere in Bern really easy and a large selection ! Also what shopping is concerned, I think we are in Bern equipped. Am well, it is best if you just come over :-)
