(0) Zurich, Zurich Region, Switzerland Kunsthaus (Art Gallery) If you’re in Zurich and looking for an incredible cultural experience, look no further than the Kunsthaus. It has an unbelievable collection of art throughout the centuries, but it’s primarily their collection of 20th (and late 19th) century at that blew me away. Here you can have an intimate and up-close look at works my the major artistic influences of the last century: Pollock, Picasso, Van Gogh, Monet, Chagall, Munch just to name a few. The impressive collection is also accented by special exhibitions that change every several months. They are also famous for their collection of works by Giacometti. They accept reservations for private guided tours by phone. (0) Zurich, Zurich Region, Switzerland Simply the best city in the world :-D A great diversity in culture and the food is awesome. You should definitely eat a Dönner Kebap. from the Turks...simple delicious. The nightlife is perfect...for every style you can find a place...be it Rock, elektro etc. Good tip? (0) Zurich, Zurich Region, Switzerland Ca Ba Re is a very youthful and exuberant club. This nightspot is more of a disco, but it does bring in a number of contemporary live acts to perform,
Part of the Zic Zac Rock Hotel, this venue is hip, new, and very alternative. Both places are known for being experimental, so it's a favorite hangout for artists and musicians. The Sound Garden's musical repertoire changes daily, with DJ's spinning all sorts of music. Good tip? (0) Zurich, Zurich Region, Switzerland hive the club a good party location with electronic music Good tip? (0) Zurich, Zurich Region, Switzerland If you're going to visit Zurich, on Fridays you absolutely have to go out at the Kaufleuten Club. Great Poeple, even greater music. Also on Saturdays the Kaufleuten is not a bad good place to be, but the Acqua Club at the lake of Zurich may be the better choice. The view on the lake is fenomenal! Good tip? (0) Zurich, Zurich Region, Switzerland street parade, lots of partys, crazy people, music etc. Good tip? (0) Zurich, Zurich Region, Switzerland For small rock venues visit the Abart music club on Manessestrasse 170 in Zurich Good tip? (0) Greifensee, Zurich Region, Switzerland The Greifensee close to Zurich is anice lake which on a nice trip can rounded by skates, bicycles or on foot (about 20 km) In fall every year the Greifenseelauf is taking place here. This halfmarathon (10km can be done as well) is one of the oldest and biggest annual running events in Switzerland. One should also mention the Climbing centre (Milandia) in Schwerzenbach which was opened in 2007. Next to the climbing centre other sport activities like tenis and golf can be performed as well. Good tip? (+2) Zurich, Zurich Region, Switzerland Go on a boat ride on Lake Zurich. It's worth it. Bike riding is also a great way to see the city and the lake. For cheap but clean places to stay, try a hostel; if that's not your cup of tea, hotels abound. There are also cheap yet clean campgrounds where one can pitch a tent and "rough it out". There's tons of shopping, food, chocolate, history, a huge weekly market at the main train station, etc. etc. etc. I love it and can't wait to go back. Good tip? (0) Zurich, Zurich Region, Switzerland The Public Transport System is just Great in Zurich. You can even take your pets and your bikes (Bycycles) in the train. Good tip?
