Morogoro is the first "city" you will reach in your way out of Dar es Salaam, about 2 1/2 hours if you leave early taking Morogoro Road, this City has in the main new entrance the round about for you to take way to Mikumi/Iringa and Dodoma/Singida, the central location of main road connections allow the city to host many Hotels and Motels mainly in the old Morogoro Road. From 5,000 to 40,000 Tsh and quality as you pay :D. No much nightlife but a nice place is Dragonairs. Also you can find several events on the Nane Nane commercial Fair held on 08/08 (8th of August)

For a clean place to stay Hilux hotel, the food is good and reasonable prices as long as you get on office hours, pay on TSH not dollars. To get there you can access via Old Morogoro Road close to Oryx or in me bus station roundabout on Oilcom road. Dragonairs is also a nice lunch place, the food takes 45 minutes be patient. In Morogoro go and visit the rocky hills and enjoy the great mountain weather

What ever you do, stay away from Nkwenzulu Hotel Nr 1 AND nr 3. These two establishments can hardly call themselves Hotels. They are ablivious to what requirements a proper hotel needs, including friendlier staff that atleast can speak English to welcome foreigners. Poor quality and bad service, no value for even the cheap rate they provide.
