Hua Hin Travel Guide

The pier restaurants on the waterfront are very good value. Try the stir-fried beef with pineapple. Can't beat the view. On the beach, which is one of the nicest I have seen, it is slightly annoying that you can't get a moment of piece: Men pestering you with their horses, want you to go for a ride down the beach, if you say no, they just stay their til you move because their horses butt is in your face. Old ladies want to give you a massage. You say no thankyou, they just it right next to you til you move, awkward. So that is the only thing, amazingly beautiful beach, not a moment of peace.

Hua Hin is great for vacation at the beach. The sandy beaches are very clean. You have lots of shopping opportunities such as Tesco Lotus, Night Markets etc. Hua Hin is just great and not crowded and polluted and filthy like Phuket and Pattaya. These places are nothing compared to Hua Hin. Enjoy!  I visit Hua Hin twice a year for a few days with my Thai Wife. The rest we spend in Northern Thailand (Phetchabun). Visit Hua Hin, it's definately worth it. The condos which are able to rent for long stayers are very luxurious and affordable. Check it out

Dont bother going to the main beach in Hua Hin. Its too overvcrowded, dirty and aimed too much at foreigners. Head to the 'Suan Son' beach 8 km south of Hua Hin main town. This beach is owned by the army and you have to pay 20 baht entrance fee if you drive a car in, (or you can get a local train to the beach.) This beach is clean and well maintained and quiet!! Not many foreigners either! You can also rent a beach bunglaow here for one night or more. Not sure about the prices but I doubt they are very expensive.
