Quest to find a gym OK, if you find yourself craving for a gym workout in Governor's Harbor there are not that many choices. The last gym closed about a decade ago. However, there is something you can "do about it". Go to the local liquor store and take a notice of the local looking bodybuilder photos on the walls. A short conversation with the store owner will reveal that he himself is a lifter and knows just the perfect place to work in Governor's Harbor: his friend's barn. I believe (I was there a few years ago), the barn-gym is in a yard right next to a local bar called "Blue Wall", but your best connection is still the owner of the licor store. He will guide you to the friendly grandpa who has trained a couple local lifters to staredom in his self-made gym-barn. It's a good opportunity to interact with real locals too.

Lobster hunting adventure

If you end up here, don't miss out giving lobster hunting a "shot". You need to inquire with the locals who the best private guides are. The guide would have a boat, snorkeling gear (but you might want to bring your own) and harpoons and, of course, would know where to find the lobsters and how to keep the sharks away. After the hunt, inquire with the guide about the local recipies for grilling the tails. Delicious!
