Avoid this place. It sucks bigtime. I have travelled the world and Nassau is in my bottom 10. Rude people, overpriced, nothing to see, bad food, dirty beaches and full of cheap tourists. Disgusting.

Take a day trip to Atlantis Hotel. They have an amazing aquarium and the hotel is dripping in luxury. If you have the money stay for the night.

Nassau is a great island to visit...most of the hotels won't let you access their beaches so come prepared if you are a cruise ship passenger. We took the ferry to Paradise Island and hung out by the Atlantis Hotel. A must see - this hotel is amazing...plop down on the beach and get a local coconut with rum poured in it...yummy! Bring sunscreen - it's extremely hot here!

That's where the big hotels are on Grand Bahama. You can find casinos, a marina and an open air shopping mall with bars and restaurants. Flights from Nassau, Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, as well as Atlanta and other American cities

Straw market is pretty cool if you wanna buy a bunch of handmade crap.

oh my god. that was just the best trip ever. Nassau is the capital city of the bahamas. if you want to go there, you better take the cruise ship. it's so worth it. the water...you can't describe it, it's just like in all the pictures. there you'll feel so healty. don't know why, but that's just the way it is. also beautiful would be the parliament building.

Don't rely on any of the local remedies for sea sickness. Just dope up on Dramamine early and keep taking it.
