Tokelau

At Tokelau, there’s not much much. There’s no airport, no harbour, no large stores, no hotels, restaurants or bars. There are coconut trees, the requisite atolls (3 in total: Atafu, Nukunonu, Fakaofo) lagoons, sand, sun, and friendly relaxed people. Getting there is hard to plan, as the only method is via a ship that leaves Samoa twice a month for a rough 7-9 day journey. With no advanced reservations accepted and a priority for government officials and locals first, a bit of persistence and patience is required. You up for it?
