At Tokelau, there’s not much much. There’s no airport, no harbour, no large stores, no hotels, restaurants or bars. There are coconut trees, the requisite atolls (3 in total: Atafu, Nukunonu, Fakaofo) lagoons, sand, sun, and friendly relaxed people. Getting there is hard to plan, as the only method is via a ship that leaves Samoa twice a month for a rough 7-9 day journey. With no advanced reservations accepted and a priority for government officials and locals first, a bit of persistence and patience is required. You up for it?

Travel Tips from people who've been to Tokelau
Getting to tokelau isn't that easy because one has to go to samoa, catch the MS Tokelau which goes once a month, endure a 2 day boat trip, and finally hope you can go back on the same boat, unlike me because the boat was steanded on a reef and we had to go back via a fishing boat.

Jeez thats a long sentence.

Good tip?
